Doongala ARC share the pony club grounds in Sheffield Rd, Kilsyth, Victoria and meet on the first Saturday of each month. Our grounds back on to the Dandenong Ranges National Park. We have a huge all-weather arena, yards for the horses and plenty of space for floats and cars. We also organise specialised clinics in dressage and jumping as required by members. We are a friendly club catering for all levels of rider.

If you haven't been to our club grounds before, PLEASE IGNORE YOUR NAVIGATOR, from Liverpool Road, turn into Pavitts Lane, then left into Sheffield Rd and the club grounds are approx 350mt on your right.
Rally Groups
Rally Groups
We run rallies on the first Saturday of every month, which can vary, but normally consists of two or three experienced instructors taking a one hour flat / dressage sessions, which may also include poles, at 10am and again at 11am. Riders will particiate in one of the morning lessons where instructors will help you work through any areas you are wanting to improve on. We then break for lunch (normally a sausage sizzle and a cuppa or cold drink) and a bit of socialising. After lunch those wanting to ride in the afternoon session will determine their preferred disciplines for the one hour afternoon sessions. Regularly offering dressage, poles and show jumping sessions, but this is totally variable and could include a trail ride, XC or games depending on the riders. The cost of the lessons for 12 monthly rallies are incorporated in your full membership fee. Associate members are permitted to ride at rallies for an additional $35 per rally, if numbers permit.

We usually hold 3 official competitions each year, a Combined Training / Dressage Competition in March, a Show and a Dressage Jackpot (Official) over three days normally in July.
HRCAV Show. Sometimes in Summer or in Winter as a Winter Woolies Show.
Membership 2023/2024
Our memberships for 2023/24 year (commencing 1/11/2023) is $400 plus $50 joining fee (for new members only) and will again be capped at 60 members. Associate membership is $300 plus $50 joining fee (for new members only).
Minimum joining age is 18. Anyone wishing to join must submit a membership application to the Secretary, via email secretary@doongala.org for submission to the selection committee prior to approval.
Anyone wishing to renew or join must submit a full membership application or associate membership application plus Disclaimer Statement, Medical Form and payment advice to the Secretary, via email secretary@doongala.org for submission to the selection committee for approval.
